Olympics blogger profiled on GlobalTV

2010VanFan is another person making Vancouver’s Games the first social media Olympics

A long time ago we predicted that Vancouver 2010 would be the world’s first social media Games. Sure, the interweb has been around as a tool for information sharing since the 1990s, but this is the first Olympics where there is enough critical mass in blogging, and sharing applications like Facebook & Twitter can really gain an audience.

For us it was a pleasure to discover a fellow blogger – 2010VanFan, whom we profiled last Sunday – whose sole focus is on 2010. We recommended that GlobalTV check her out too, and Robin Stickley did this great profile piece last night.

We’re excited by the response to our 2010 Free Events Guide, which continues to grow and evolve as we get more feedback from all of you. CityCaucus.com will be reporting regularly from these venues over the weeks to come – and we’ll have some exclusive "sneak peeks" posted soon.

For any of you connected with special events running at the Games and want others to know about them, be sure to email us at CityCaucus@gmail.com. We’d like to compile even more "must see" events and venues on our Free Events Guide. We’ve also been asked if we’ll be posting any paid admission events, so we’ll look into that area as we hear about them.
